Art of Design
An Animation by Lana Hong
Each individual is different in their own way. One way to visualize this is using different art styles to properly portray them. In this project, I used a hybrid of both 2D and 3D styles to explore this idea. This project is a half 2D animation and a half 3D animation, using Maya and Blender for 3D modeling/rigging with 3D animation and still 2D drawn frames imported over into Adobe Animate, After effects, and Media Encoder.
There are two personas in one character, both representing a contrasting viewpoint between two different views. The scenes shift into each other, making the perspectives swap as the animation style shifts. Gray Hat appears distressed by this, but Colored Hat is simply in it for the ride, as she walks off into the sunset.
